Private Tutoring

Our private tutoring program provides students the personal attention and focus they need for academic success in core subjects. In private (one-to-one) or small group (one-to-two) sessions, our experienced tutors coach each student according to his or her particular needs and abilities. Tutors explicate course content and help students build study skills, confidence, and independence. Students receive tailored assistance and instruction to supplement classroom coursework and achieve subject mastery. Ideal for high school and middle school students at all levels. Our program helps students with any of the following goals:

• Increase knowledge and performance in current course material
• Prepare for the challenges of upcoming classes
• Study for standardized tests
• Improve study and organizational skills
• Understand teacher expectations
• Plan for college, write personal essays and submit college applications

Our private tutoring services support students in the following academic areas:

• Humanities, Math, and Science
• Honors and AP subjects (Calculus, Literature, Physics and more)
• Test Prep (SAT, AP, TOEFL, ISEE, SSAT, ITBS, CogAT)
• Essay writing and college applications

$45 - $55 an hour for one-on-one tutoring
$35 - $45 an hour for one-to-two tutoring
